Composition5 ml of cherry flavor syrup contain 30 mg of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride and 100 mg of guaifenesin; in bottles of 100 ml.

Pharmachologic effect
expectorant, mucolytic, sympathomimetic.

Reduces the viscosity of the mucus, reduces its surface tension and adhesion properties, increases the volume and water content of the bronchial secretions, reduces mucosal edema (narrows blood vessels).

Contraindications for Sudafed

Side effect of Sudafed

Sudafed Dosage and Administration
Inside. 10 ml 3 times per day; children 6-12 years - 5 ml, 2-5 years - 2.5 ml, 3 times a day.

Overdose

The symptoms - irritability, anxiety, tremors, convulsions, palpitations, increased blood pressure, impaired urination, gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, vomiting. Treatment - washing stomach, maintaining respiratory function, bladder catheterization (if necessary), acidification of urine or dialysis (for the accelerated elimination of pseudoephedrine).

Precautionary measures

With caution is prescribed for hypertension, heart diseases, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, increased intraocular pressure, enlarged prostate, severe renal or hepatic insufficiency.
