Composition and release form

1 ml of the suspension for oral administration contains fumarate iron 30 mg (corresponding to 10 mg of elemental iron); In bottles of 100 ml.

Clinical Pharmacology

Positive dynamics in the blood picture is observed after 4-5 days, but treatment should continue for at least 4-5 days.

Iron deficiency anemia (with impaired iron absorption, massive bleeding, increased iron consumption).

Contraindications

Sideroblastic anemia.

Side effects

Vomiting, diarrhea, or constipation; Darkening of teeth, staining of feces in black.

Dosing and Administration

Inside, in between meals, drink with water (but not tea); It is recommended to shake the bottle before use. The average dose is 5-6 mg of elemental iron per 1 kg of body weight per day (ie 0.5 ml of suspension per 1 kg of body weight per day). Adults (in case of intolerance to other iron preparations) - 10 ml 3-4 times a day; Children under the age of 2 years - 5 ml 1 time per day; From 2 to 6 years - 5 ml 2 times a day; Over 6 years - 5 ml 3-4 times a day.

Overdose

Symptoms: nausea, epigastric pain, symptoms of gastrointestinal irritation, in severe cases - vomiting with blood, diarrhea, dizziness, confusion, weakness, acrocyanosis, lowering of blood pressure, weak pulse. Treatment: removal of the drug from the digestive tract (stimulation of vomiting, gastric lavage), its binding in the stomach (appointment inside the milk with egg white). Specific therapy - deferoxamine (inside and parenteral), symptomatic therapy.

Precautionary measures

Before taking the drug is not recommended to eat fatty foods. Treatment is carried out under the supervision of a doctor. Doses are measured with an attached beaker, which after use is rinsed with hot water.
