Dosing and Administration

VM (deep, into a large muscle mass), IV (slowly).

Premedication, IM, before surgery in the presence of pain - 30 minutes before the onset of anesthesia alone or in combination with anticholinergic or analgesic agents. Adults under 60 years at the rate of 0.07-0.1 mg / kg body weight. The average dose is 5 mg. Patients over 60 years of age or receiving other narcotic or sedative substances, weakened by the patient - 0.025-0.05 mg / kg. The maximum dose is no more than 6 mg.

Children from 6 months to 5 years - 0.05-0.1 mg / kg, 6-11 years - 0.025-0.05 mg / kg.

With IV introduction for premedication, the maximum dose is not more than 10 mg. For sedation immediately before the diagnostic or surgical interventions under local anesthesia for 5-10 min IV dose 2.5 mg, if necessary, additional administration of 1 mg is possible. Elderly and debilitated patients the initial dose is 1-1.5 mg.

Introductory anesthesia (without premedication) for adults up to 55 years - usually at an initial dose of 0.3-0.35 mg / kg for 20-30 seconds. The effect develops in 2 minutes; patients over 55 years of age - 0.3 mg / kg; weakened patients - 0.2-0.25 mg / kg, in some cases, you can achieve the desired effect at a dose of 0.15 mg / kg. After premedication, the recommended dose range is 0.15-0.35 mg / kg. In patients under 55 years of age, a dose of 0.25 mg / kg is usually effective, administered within 20-30 seconds, and over 55 years, 0.2 mg / kg.

Maintenance of anesthesia - doses and time intervals are determined individually.

Intramuscular injection in children - combined administration with ketamine is recommended: fulsed - 0,15-0,2 mg / kg (IM), ketamine - 4-8 mg / kg (IM). Anesthesia of the desired depth is achieved in 2-3 minutes.

Sedation with conserved consciousness: healthy adults under 60 years (by slow titration before the appearance of the effect, for example, slurred speech). The initial dose is not more than 2.5 mg for at least 2 minutes. If necessary, additionally 1 mg. Usually the desired depth of sedation is achieved at a total dose of not more than 5 mg.

Patients older than 60 years, weakened and chronic patients, the initial dose - not more than 1.5 mg, repeated - 1 mg. The duration of administration is at least 2 minutes, the interval between repeated injections is also at least 2 minutes. The total dose is not more than 3.5 mg.

If other drugs depressing the central nervous system are simultaneously administered, the Fulesed dose should be reduced by approximately 50%.
