Composition and form of release

1 g of gel contains ethofenamate 50 mg; in tubes of 50 g.

pharmachologic effect

Pharmacological action - anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antirheumatic.

It inhibits cyclooxygenase and reduces the formation of PG, reducing the manifestation of the inflammatory response and the sensitivity of pain receptors.

Indications

Rheumatic diseases of soft tissues and musculoskeletal system, myositis, myalgia, lumbago, sciatica, tendosynovitis, bursitis, diseases of the spine and joints caused by overload or degeneration (spondylosis, arthrosis), bruises, sprains.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, pregnancy, children's age.

Side effects

Redness of the skin, allergic reactions.

Dosing and Administration

Externally, a strip of gel 5-10 cm long (1650-3300 mg) is applied to the painful area and strongly rubbed. The course is from several days to several months.

Precautionary measures

Do not apply the gel to the damaged skin or to the place of eczematous inflammation. Nursing mothers should refuse breastfeeding for the period of treatment.
