Characteristics of the substance Iodofenazone
White or almost white crystalline powder.
Pharmacology
Pharmacological action - antiviral, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulating.
It induces the production of alpha and beta interferon, the formation of antibodies. Stabilizes biological membranes and inhibits the penetration of the virus into the cell. Antiviral activity is manifested primarily in the case of tick-borne encephalitis viruses, non-poliomyelitis enteroviruses Coxsackie and ECHO, viruses of vesicular stomatitis, influenza and parainfluenza.
Application of substance Iodophenazone
Tick-borne encephalitis (treatment and prevention in adults).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity (including to iodine-containing drugs), hyperthyroidism.

Nausea, swelling, allergic reactions.
Precautions for the substance Iodophenazone
It is not recommended simultaneous use of anti-malignant immunoglobulin. However, in focal forms of tick-borne encephalitis, it should be used (according to the usual scheme) 2-3 days before iodantipyrin.
