Pharmacodynamics

Herpferon®, an ointment for topical and topical use, is a combined preparation that has antiviral, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulating and analgesic effects.

Interferon alfa-2b human recombinant has a pronounced antiviral activity (suppresses replication of the virus in infected cells) and immunomodulating effect (enhancement of phagocytic activity of macrophages in lesions).

Acyclovir has a pronounced antiviral effect. Highly active against Herpes simplex virus type 1 and type 2 and virus causing varicella and herpes zoster (Varicella zoster).

Lidocaine has a local anesthetic and moderate antipruritic effect.

The combination of active ingredients provides a more pronounced anti-herpetic effect: prevents the formation of new elements of the rash, reduces the likelihood of cutaneous dissemination, accelerates healing, and reduces pain.
