Characteristic
Contains alkaloids atropine group (including hyoscyamine, scopolamine, apoatropin).
Pharmacological action
Agents of plant origin. Has m-anticholinergic and antispasmodic action. Lets stimulating action of acetylcholine; reduces the secretion of salivary, gastric, bronchial, lacrimal, sweat gland, exocrine pancreatic function. It reduces muscle tone the digestive tract, the bile ducts and gall bladder, but increase the tone of the sphincters; causing tachycardia, AV conduction improves. Extends pupils, it hinders the outflow of intraocular fluid, intraocular pressure increases, causing paralysis of accommodation.
Indications
Peptic ulcer and 12 duodenal ulcer, cholelithiasis, spasm of smooth muscles of the abdominal cavity, biliary colic, renal colic; bradycardia, AV block; hemorrhoids, anal fissures.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, angle-closure glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy in violation of the outflow of urine.
Dosing
Inside, adults - 5-10 cap tincture 3-4 times a day; children - 1-5 cap. Higher dose for adults: single - 0.5 ml (23 cap) daily - 1.5 ml (70 cap). The extract thick take on 0.01-0.02 g; the highest single dose - 0.05 grams daily - 0.15 g dry extract - at 0.02-0.04 g; the highest single dose - 0.1 grams daily - 0,3 g
Rectal, 1 suppository 2-3 times a day; the maximum dose - 10 candles per day.
Side effect
Dry mouth, mydriasis, accommodation paresis, intestinal, dizziness, tachycardia, urinary retention, skin hyperemia century, photophobia. Overdose. Symptoms: agitation, paralysis of accommodation, urinary retention.
Special instructions
During the period of treatment must be careful when driving and other lesson. Potentially hazardous activities that require high concentration of attention, psychomotor speed reactions and good vision.
