Composition and form of release

1 ml of a 1% eye drop containing 0.01 g of pilocarpine hydrochloride; in bottles of 5 ml, in a cardboard bundle one bottle.

pharmachologic effect

Pharmacological action - antiglaucoma.

Excited peripheral M-cholinergic receptors and causes increased secretion of digestive and bronchial glands, a sharp increase in perspiration, contraction of the pupil, increased tone of smooth muscles of the bronchi, intestines, gall bladder and uterus.

Indications

An acute attack of angle-closure glaucoma, and chronic angle-closure glaucoma, primary open-angle glaucoma (as monotherapy or in combination with beta-blockers or other drugs that reduce intraocular pressure), constriction of the pupil after instillation mydriatics.

Contraindications

Iritis, iridocyclitis, keratitis.

Side effects

Headache, decreased visual acuity (especially at night); follicular conjunctivitis and contact dermatitis century (with prolonged use).

Interaction

Antagonists are atropine and other m-holinoliticheskie funds.

Dosing and Administration

The mode set individually. In the conjunctival sac of 1 drop 1-3 times per day, at an acute attack angle-closure glaucoma: every 15 min for 1 hour, every 30 minutes - in the following 2-3 hours, every 60 min - 4.6 hours, further 3-6 times per day to the relief of an attack.

Precautionary measures
