Composition and release form

1 tablet contains levodopa 250 mg and carbidopa 25 mg, in a package of 30 pcs.

Pharmachologic effect

Mode of action - antiparkinsonian, dopaminergic.

Inhibits dopa-decarboxylase.

Parkinsonism.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, cardiovascular, pulmonary disorders, renal failure, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer disease, glaucoma, diabetes, hypertension, congestive heart failure, pregnancy, lactation, age (under 18 years).

Side effects

Paranoia, psychosis, depression, anxiety, hyperkinesis, speech disorder, headache, dizziness, drowsiness, impaired coordination, anxiety, stress, orthostatic hypotension, arrhythmia, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, hypersalivation, gastralgia, incontinence, difficulty urinating, polyuria.

Dosing and Administration

Inside, the initial dose - 125 mg of levodopa per day 3-4 times daily - 750 mg - 1.5 g in divided doses after meals.
