Dosing and Administration
Conjunctival.
To adults. The duration of treatment with the drug depends on the course of the disease, the needs of the patient and is determined by the doctor.
To prevent the development of complications during and after surgery: before the operation, the drug should be instilled in the conjunctival sac 1 drop five times within 3 hours. On the first day after the operation, 1 drop 3 times a day. Starting from the second day - 1 drop 3-5 times a day.
To reduce the severity of pain syndrome and photophobia, treatment of post-traumatic inflammatory process with non-penetrating injuries of the eyeball, the drug should be instilled in 1 drop for 4-6 hours.
To reduce the severity of the pain syndrome after surgery on the eyeball (after refractive surgery) Voltaren Ophta should be instilled 1-2 drops per hour prior to surgery, 1-2 drops within the first 15 minutes after the operation, and 1 drop every 4- 6 hours for 3 days after the operation.
Patients of advanced age do not need a dose adjustment.
Do not use eye drops Voltaren® Ophta for subconjunctival injections or injected into the anterior chamber of the eye.
