pharmachologic effect

Pharmacological action - antiulcer.

Increases the local concentration of PG, stimulates the healing of gastric or duodenal ulcers, causes the death of Helicobacter pylori cells.

Pharmacodynamics

Selectively envelops ulcerated areas of the mucous membrane of the stomach or duodenum and forms insoluble complexes with proteins that are released from epithelial tissue, possessing great mechanical resistance and strong adhesion to the bottom of erosion (ulcers): the layer of the bismuth-protein complex fills the ulcer, protecting the bottom and edges niches from the action of hydrochloric acid, pepsin, and promotes its healing.

Indication

Ulcer disease of the stomach and duodenum, inflammation of the gastric mucosa caused by Helicobacter pylori.

Contraindications

Expressed violations of kidney function, acute gastritis, pregnancy (I-st trimester), lactation (it is necessary to refuse breastfeeding).

Nausea, vomiting.

Interaction

The effect reduces acid-neutralizing agents (it is necessary to prescribe 30 minutes before or 30 minutes after Ventrisol). Reduces absorption of tetracyclines.

Dosing and Administration

Inside, 0.12 g 4 times a day: 3 times 30 minutes before meals and 2 hours after the last meal or 0.24 g 2 times a day (30 minutes before meals or 2 hours after meals) . The course of treatment is at least 28 days.

Children - 7-8 mg / kg / day.

Precautionary measures

Do not combine with other bismuth-containing drugs, the duration of treatment should not exceed 56 days. During the intake is not recommended to use milk, beer, carbonated drinks.
