Composition and form of release

1 capsule contains tenoxicam 20 mg; in the package of 20 pcs.

pharmachologic effect

Pharmacological action - anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, analgesic.

Pharmacokinetics

Bioavailability of 70-80%. After taking 1-2 capsules (20 or 40 mg), Cmax in the plasma is reached after 0.5-2 hours. It is excreted through the kidneys (2/3) and the gastrointestinal tract (1/3).

Indications

Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, gout, fibrositis, tendonitis, tenosynovitis, bursitis, lumbulgia, lumboschialgia, epicondylitis, injuries and inflammation of soft tissues and the musculoskeletal system.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, erosive-ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract (in the phase of exacerbation), "aspirin" asthma, severe renal dysfunction.

pregnancy and lactation

Not recommended.

Side effects

Headache, dizziness, nausea, heartburn, pain and discomfort in the abdomen, diarrhea, skin rash, itching, urticaria, erythema.

Interaction

Reduces the diuretic effect of diuretics. Antatsidnye means slow down absorption and reduce the maximum concentrations in the plasma.

Dosing and Administration

Inside, 20 mg (1 capsule) 1 time per day (preferably at the same time). In acute attacks of gout - 40 mg once a day during the first days, then - 20 mg once a day for 5 more days.

Precautionary measures

With caution appoint patients with liver, kidney, bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract in anamnesis, in the postoperative period. Do not combine with other anti-inflammatory drugs, anticoagulants, oral antidiabetic drugs, triamterene, lithium salts.
