Structure and Composition

1 vial of 2.5 ml of solution contains 2.5 mg of salbutamol sulphate; pack of 20

It stimulates the beta 2-adrenergic receptors, reduces mast cell degranulation.

Indications of Sterineb Salamol

Bronchodilator therapy with nebulizer asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug, a risk of miscarriage, age (up to 1.5 years).

Side effects

Headache, tremor, tachycardia, hypokalemia, decreased blood pressure, allergic reactions (rash), paradoxical bronchospasm.

Interaction

Xanthine derivatives, corticosteroids or diuretics potentiate the hypokalemic effect of salbutamol.

Dosing and Administration

Inhalation with a nebulizer. Adults and children over 18 months: 2.5 mg (2.5 ml) 3-4 times a day. If necessary, the dose may be increased up to 5 mg (5 ml) 3-4 times a day.

Overdose

Antidote - cardioselective beta-blockers (used with caution in patients with bronchospasm).
