Composition and form of release

1 g of the gel contains 5 mg piroxicam; in tubes of 58 grams, in a box of 1 tuba.

pharmachologic effect

Pharmacological action - anti-inflammatory, analgesic.

It inhibits cyclooxygenase and inhibits the synthesis of PG (prostaglandins).

Pharmacodynamics

Reduces or eliminates pain of moderate intensity and severity of inflammation; with articular syndrome reduces the morning stiffness of the joints, contributes to an increase in the volume of movements.

Pharmacokinetics

Well absorbed through the skin (resorbed up to 5%) and accumulates in the affected tissues; the effective concentration is created after 20 minutes.

Indication

Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthrosis, ankylosing spondylitis, exacerbation of gout, pain in the spine, neuralgia, myalgia; traumatic inflammation of soft tissues and musculoskeletal system.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, children's age.

Contraindicated.

Side effects

Allergic reactions: rhinitis, urticaria, bronchial asthma; Locally: burning, itching, rash, swelling.

Dosing and Administration

Outwardly. 2-4 g of gel are applied to the affected area and gently rubbed 3-4 times a day (at intervals of 4 hours).

Precautionary measures

With caution combine with other NSAIDs, should not be prescribed for bronchial asthma. Do not apply on the mucous membranes of the eye, open wounds.
