Description of dosage form

Ointment - light beige color with a characteristic smell of phenol.

Suppositories rectal - white or yellowish color with the smell of phenol.

Pharmachologic effect

Mode of action - anti-inflammatory, immunostimulating, antipruritic, regenerative.

It forms a specific and stimulates nonspecific immunity.

Pharmacodynamics

The active component - a suspension of bacterial culture - contains inactivated bacteria and the products of their metabolism. Stimulates the T-system of immunity, increases the phagocytic activity of leukocytes and cells of the reticuloendothelial system, a number of humoral factors of nonspecific immunity. Increases the formation of antibodies at the site of exposure and local tissue resistance to the effects of pathogenic microflora due to the content of concentrated lipopolysaccharides of cell membranes and metabolites of Escherichia coli of various strains, incl. Resistant to antibiotics and other antibacterial agents. Reduces exudation, normalizes the permeability and tone of blood vessels, stimulates the regeneration of damaged tissues.

Indication of the drug Posterisan

Hemorrhoids (mainly suppositories), perianal dermatitis (ointment), anal and genital itching, especially resistant to other medicines, anopapillitis, anal fissure (ointment), condition after anorectal surgery (to stimulate wound healing).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to phenol.

Application of pregnancy and breastfeeding

Rarely - allergic reactions (associated with the use of phenol as a preservative).

Dosing and Administration

Externally, rectally. Ointment - apply a thin layer on the affected area of the skin and mucous membrane in the morning and evening, and after each defecation. For a deeper introduction of the ointment into the anal canal, a screw applicator can be used.

Suppositories are used in the morning and evening, as well as after each bowel movement. It is possible to combine the use of ointments and suppositories. After relieving the symptoms of the disease continue treatment for 2-3 weeks to stabilize the effect and prevent relapses.
