Composition and form of release

1 coated tablet contains iodine 0.0005 g, potassium iodide 0.005 g and powdered rhizomes with valerian roots 0.05 g; In the package 40 pcs.

pharmachologic effect

Pharmacological action - antithyroid.

It inhibits the formation and growth of the thyrotropic hormone of the anterior lobe of the pituitary (due to small doses of iodine).

Pharmacodynamics

The effect is determined by the effect of the constituent components: reducing the production of thyroid hormones, normalizes metabolic processes (molecular iodine, potassium iodide); Shows moderate sedative properties (valerian).

An enlargement of the thyroid gland with phenomena of hyperthyroidism; Prevention of zobogenic action of thyreostatic drugs.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, pulmonary tuberculosis, nephritis, neurosis, furunculosis, acne, chronic pyoderma, hemorrhagic diathesis, urticaria, pregnancy.

Side effects

With prolonged use and with increased sensitivity to iodine, iodism: runny nose, urticaria, Quincke's edema, salivation, lacrimation, acne on the skin, etc.

Dosing and Administration
