Pharmacological action - spasmolytic, carminative.

Alverina citrate - myotropic antispasmodic without m-cholinolytic activity with the following mechanism of action: blocking the entry of calcium ions into smooth muscle cells through voltage-dependent channels (VOC) - direct effect; affects the receptor-dependent neuroreceptors (ROC) - an indirect effect. As a result, in smooth muscle cells, the concentration of calcium ions decreases, which inhibits the combination of actin with myosin. In addition, alverina citrate, in contrast to other antispasmodics, reduces the visceral pain sensitivity of the gastrointestinal tract, influencing the transmission of nerve impulses to the peripheral and central nervous centers through afferent nerve fibers. Alverine citrate reduces the intestinal motor response to the effects of pain and as a result of this has a regulating effect on the motility of the digestive tract, thus eliminating stool disorders. Alverina citrate has an antispasmodic effect without the development of smooth muscle hypotension.

Simethicone - a high-molecular polymer based on silicon (dimethylsiloxane with the addition of 4-7% silicon dioxide). refers to defoamers - substances that reduce the surface tension at the interface between liquid-gas media. In this case, the processes of fusion of gas bubbles occur during their contact and destruction (deposition) of the foam. Foam precipitation reduces the total volume of gases, restores natural absorption through the intestinal mucosa, accelerates the transit of gases through the intestine and increases their cumulative excretion. As a result, the total amount of gas in the intestine decreases and the intraluminal pressure decreases. In addition, simethicone forms a protective layer on the mucous membrane of the digestive tract and protects the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract from the action of aggressive factors. Simethicone, being a chemically inert substance, is not absorbed by the body and, after passing through the gastrointestinal tract, is excreted unchanged.

Indications

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Dosing and Administration

Inside, 1 caps. 2-3 times a day before meals.
