Dosing and Administration

One immunizing dose is 0.5 ml of the diluted vaccine.

The vaccine is dissolved before use with the applied solvent at a rate of 0.5 ml per 1 dose. The bottle is shaken thoroughly until the content is completely dissolved within 1 minute. The dissolved preparation is a clear, colorless solution. If it looks different, and also in the presence of extraneous particles, the vaccine is not used.

After dilution of the lyophilisate with the solvent, the vaccine should be used immediately. It is allowed to store the solution in a vial containing 10 doses, in the refrigerator no more than 8 hours. The solution should be protected from direct sunlight.

A new sterile needle should be used to administer the drug. When using the vaccine in multi-dose packs, a new syringe and needle should be used each time to take the drug. Dissolved drug in multi-dose packs should be used during the working day. The drug should be removed from the bottle with strict adherence to aseptic rules.

The Mentsevsex vaccine ACWY cannot be administered intravenously under any circumstances.
