Clinical Pharmacology

The effect develops 30 minutes after administration, reaches a maximum of 2-4 hours and lasts for 6-8 hours.

Indications

Insulin-dependent diabetes: newly diagnosed, in children, pregnant women, patients with allergic reactions to other insulins, persons with severe vascular complications; Intensified insulin therapy (insulin pumps, needleless injectors, etc.), for devices with a special purpose (artificial pancreas, etc.); Insulin-independent diabetes (combination therapy with oral hypoglycemic drugs, temporary insulin therapy).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, hypoglycemic conditions, coma.

Side effects

Hypoglycemia (sensation of hunger, overwork, tremor), allergic reactions, lipodystrophy (at the injection site).

Interaction

Increase the effect of tetracycline, EDTA (iv), isoniazid, MAO inhibitors, phenylbutazone and its derivatives, phenothiazines, dicumarol preparations, anabolic steroids, alpha-adrenoblockers, salicylates, sulfonamides, weaken corticosteroids and adrenomimetics. Alcohol and beta-blockers can provoke hypoglycemia.
