Pharmachologic effect

Mode action - immunomodulating.

Pharmacodynamics

Increases nonspecific resistance, activates macrophages and granulocytes, enhances phagocytosis. The release of cytokines leads to the proliferation and stimulation of immunocompetent cells. Serum content of serum increases. Some substances contained in the extract of Echinacea, have antiviral activity against influenza and herpes viruses, as well as inhibitory effect on tissue and bacterial hyaluronidase.
