pharmachologic effect

Pharmacological action - anti-inflammatory, antiallergic, antifungal, antipruritic, antiseptic.

Like other glucocorticoids, at the site of the application it narrows the vessels, reduces vascular permeability, stabilizes the lysosomal membranes, inhibits cellular migration to the inflammatory focus (prednisolone). Clioquinol forms complexes with metal ions necessary for the activation of enzyme systems of microbes and fungi.

Indications

Eczema, diaper rash and other dermatitis, characterized by allergic inflammation, complicated by a bacterial or fungal infection. Superficial limited bacterial or fungal skin infections characterized by allergic inflammation, the treatment of which with other antibacterial and antifungal agents proved ineffective.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to iodine, viral skin infections, skin tuberculosis, cutaneous manifestations of syphilis, neoplasms on the skin.

Side effects
