pharmachologic effect
Pharmacological action - anti-inflammatory, analgesic.
Selectively inhibits cyclooxygenase-2 and blocks the formation of pro-inflammatory PG (in particular, prostaglandin E2). In therapeutic doses does not affect the activity of human cyclooxygenase-1 and thus does not disrupt normal physiological processes involving prostaglandins, particularly in the mucous membrane of the stomach, intestines and platelets.
Pharmacodynamics
In controlled clinical trials, it was noted that the incidence of gastrointestinal complications did not differ from placebo and was significantly lower than with non-specific cyclooxygenase inhibitors.

Deforming osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis (symptomatic treatment of pain and inflammatory syndrome).
Contraindications
