Pharmacological action - antiallergic, antipruritic, antiexudative, anti-inflammatory local, antifungal, local.

Pharmacodynamics

Combination drug for external use, the effect of which is due to its constituent components.

Clotrimazole is an imidazole derivative, a broad-spectrum antifungal agent. Antimycotic effect associated with a violation of the synthesis of ergosterol, which is part of the cell membrane of fungi, which causes a change in its structure and properties and leads to lysis of the cell.

To clotrimazole sensitive dermatophytes, yeast-like fungi (genus Candida, Torulopsis glabrata, Rhodotorula), mold fungi, as well as the causative agent of the multicolored lichen Pityriasis versicolor and the causative agent of erythrasma.

Has antimicrobial effect against gram-positive (staphylococcus and streptococcus) and Gram-negative bacteria (Bacteroides, Gardnerella vaginalis), as well as against Trichomonas vaginalis.

Beclomethasone has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-exudative and antipruritic effect. With external application, beclomethasone suppresses inflammatory and allergic skin reactions as well as reactions associated with increased proliferation, which leads to a decrease in objective symptoms (erythema, edema, lichenification) and subjective sensations (itching, irritation, pain).

Indication

Fungal skin infections, especially accompanied by acute eczematous manifestations:

Inguinal epidermophytia, epidermophytia of the feet;

Microsporia of smooth skin;

Candidiasis caused by Candida albicans.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity;

Varicella, measles;

lupus;

Postvaccinal skin reactions;

Herpes simplex;

Cutaneous manifestations of syphilis;

Actinomycosis, blastomycosis, sporotrichosis;

Trophic ulcers on the background of chronic venous insufficiency;

Skin tumors;

pregnancy and lactation

External application of Candida B, cream, in pregnant women is allowed in cases where the intended use for the mother exceeds the risk to the fetus. In such cases, the use of the drug should be short and limited to small areas of skin.

It is not known whether the drug penetrates into the mother's milk, so during breastfeeding, Candid B can be used only under strict indications, and it should not be applied to the skin of the breast before feeding.

Side effects

Side effects, as a rule, are slightly expressed. Possible local allergic reactions - redness of the skin, a burning sensation and tingling at the site of application.

Rarely, as with the application of other GCS, acne-like changes, hypopigmentation, striae, skin atrophy, hypertrichosis, telangiectasia, secondary skin infections can develop.

Dosing and Administration

External, on the previously washed and dried affected areas of the skin, lightly rubbing, apply a thin layer 2-3 times a day.

With inguinal epidermophyte, smooth skin microsporia and candidiasis treatment course - 2 weeks; With epidermophytia stop - 4 weeks. If necessary, prolonged use should be applied less often - every other day. In the treatment of chronic diseases, treatment should continue for some time after the disappearance of all symptoms to avoid relapse of the disease.

Overdose

Symptoms: with prolonged use of beclomethasone on large surfaces of the skin with impaired integrity or with the use of an occlusive dressing, as well as with prolonged use in children, it is possible to develop side effects associated with suppression and insufficiency of the function of the adrenal cortex.

Treatment: withdrawal of the drug and, if necessary, symptomatic therapy.

special instructions

If, during the first application of Candida B, the cream develops a reaction of hypersensitivity to the skin (itching, burning or redness), immediately stop using it and consult a doctor.

If possible, avoid prolonged therapy, especially in children, because of the possible suppression of adrenal function.

Application on a large surface or the use of occlusive dressings can lead to systemic absorption of beclomethasone.

Avoid contact with the eye; Do not apply to the skin in the eyes and mucous membranes.

The development or spread of infection requires the withdrawal of the drug and the appointment of antimicrobial therapy.

Bacterial infection is maintained in warm, moist conditions, including occlusive dressings, so the skin should be cleaned before applying the cream.
