Composition and form of release
Gel containing 1% diclofenac sodium; in tubes of 50 and 100 g.

Pharmacological action - anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, analgesic.

Pharmacokinetics
When applied locally, it penetrates through the skin and accumulates in therapeutic concentrations at the site of action. The doses administered in the form of 1% gel are comparable to the usual daily doses for oral administration. For the therapeutic effect of the drug, the concentration created at the site of action is more important than its concentration in the plasma. Comparison of the excretion of the drug and its metabolites with ingestion and topical application showed that almost the same metabolites are released.
Clinical Pharmacology
Due to local application, it is possible to avoid the systemic load that occurs when taking the drug inside or with its parenteral administration.
Indications
Injuries to tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints (to relieve pain and inflammation during sprains, dislocations, bruises), localized forms of soft tissue rheumatism (pain and inflammation removal).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity (including other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), age (up to 6 years).

It is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation due to the lack of clinical data.
Side effects
Local allergic reactions (exanthema, erosion, erythema, eczema, ulceration), photosensitization; possible the development of systemic side effects.
Dosing and Administration
Rub into the skin from 2 to 4 g of gel (corresponding to 2-2.5 cm of the squeezed strip of gel) 2-4 times a day. After applying the product, wash your hands. the drug penetrates through the skin.
Overdose
It is most likely when the drug enters the digestive tract. Treatment: gastric lavage, administration of activated charcoal; symptomatic therapy aimed at eliminating: increased blood pressure, impaired renal function, seizures, gastrointestinal irritation, respiratory depression. Specific therapy (forced diuresis, hemodialysis, hemoperfusion) is ineffective, tk. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs quickly bind to proteins and undergo intensive metabolism.
Precautionary measures
Do not apply to damaged areas of the skin, to open wounds or in combination with an occlusive dressing. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Patients with senile age should be administered cautiously (a tendency to side reactions). When developing adverse reactions about them, it is necessary to inform the doctor.
