Composition and form of release
1 tablet, coated, contains tenoxicam 20 mg; in the box 3 blisters for 10 pcs.
1 rectal suppository - 20 mg; in blistere 5 pcs., in the box 2 blisters.
Pharmacological action - anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, analgesic.
Inhibits the synthesis of PG (prostaglandins) (inhibits the activity of cyclooxygenase 1 and cyclooxygenase 2), reduces the accumulation of leukocytes in the focus of inflammation.
Has a powerful and long-lasting painkiller (comes in 30 minutes) and anti-inflammatory effect with less pronounced antipyretic. With rheumatic diseases it weakens joint pain at rest and during movement, reduces morning stiffness and swelling, improves functions and increases the amount of joint movement.
Quickly and completely absorbed in the digestive tract. Bioavailability of 100%. Cmax is achieved after 2 hours. It binds to plasma proteins by 99%. The volume of distribution is 0.15 l / kg. T1 / 2 - 60-75 h. In the liver it is hydroxylated. Easily passes the histohematological barriers. The main part is excreted as inactive metabolites with urine, the rest - with bile.
The anti-inflammatory effect develops by the end of the first week of treatment.
Inflammatory-degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system accompanied by pain syndrome: articular syndrome with gout, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteochondrosis, articular rheumatism (tendinitis, bursitis, myositis), pain in the spine, neuralgia, myalgia, trauma.
Hypersensitivity, active peptic ulcer, marked violations of the liver in the active stage, kidney failure, diabetes, arterial hypertension, heart failure, children's age.
pregnancy and lactation
Nausea, heartburn, abdominal pain, diarrhea, flatulence, stomatitis, anorexia, erosive and ulcerative lesions, bleeding, headache, dizziness, insomnia, depression, increased excitability, edema in the eye, eye irritation, visual impairment, peripheral edema, increased plasma concentrations of creatinine, urea nitrogen, bilirubin and hepatic transaminase activity, allergic reactions (urticaria, pruritus); when using suppositories, there may be local irritation, painful defecation.
Strengthens the effect of lithium preparations (including toxicity), indirect anticoagulants, oral hypoglycemic agents (sulfonylureas derivatives). Antacids reduce the rate of absorption. Simultaneous use of other NSAIDs increases the risk of side effects (especially from the gastrointestinal tract).
Dosing and Administration
Inside, rectally. According to 1 table. or 1 supp. 1 time per day (preferably at the same time).
In acute attacks of gout, 2 tablets. or 2 soups. 1 time per day for the first two days, then 1 table. or 1 supp. 1 time per day for 5 days.
With caution appoint elderly persons, against diuretics, nephrotoxic drugs, immediately after surgical interventions. A few days before surgery, the drug should be discontinued. In the course of long-term treatment, liver and kidney function control, prothrombin index (against indirect anticoagulants), glucose in the blood (if the patient receives oral hypoglycemic agents) is necessary.
At a temperature of 15-25 į C.
