Composition

In one 5ml vial of 0.5% solution of a combination of timolol maleate and 2, or 4% of pilocarpine hydrochloride solution.

Indications

Elevated intraocular pressure, glaucoma (chronic open, secondary, combined with aphakia).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity (to any component of the drug), bronchospasm, asthma (including history), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, sinus bradycardia, AV block II-III degree, congestive heart failure, cardiogenic shock; conditions in which undesirable development miosis (iritis, iridocyclitis).

Side effects

Conditioned by pilocarpine: myopia, reduced visual acuity, night blindness, headache, pain in the brow, eye irritation, lacrimation, cataract, bronchospasm, salivation, sweating, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. Conditional timolol: conjunctivitis, blepharitis, keratitis, blurred vision, ptosis, bradycardia, conduction abnormalities up to cardiac arrest, hypotension, cerebrovascular accident, heart failure and bronchospasm (possibly fatal), headache, fatigue, depression, allergic reactions.

Interaction
