Composition and form of release

1 capsule contains tenoxicam 20 mg; in the blister 10 pcs.

pharmachologic effect

Pharmacological action - anti-inflammatory, analgesic.

Inhibits the synthesis of PG (prostaglandins) (inhibits the activity of cyclooxygenase 1 and cyclooxygenase 2), reduces the accumulation of leukocytes in the focus of inflammation.

Pharmacodynamics

Has a powerful and long-lasting painkiller (comes in 30 minutes) and anti-inflammatory effect with less pronounced antipyretic.

Indication

Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, gout, fibrositis (tendinitis, bursitis, lumboschialgia, back pain).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, active peptic ulcer, marked violations of liver function in the active stage, renal failure, pregnancy, lactation (it is necessary to give up breastfeeding at the time of treatment).

Side effects

Nausea, abdominal pain, dyspeptic phenomena, headache, dizziness.

Interaction

Enhances the effect of indirect anticoagulants (derivatives of oxycoumarin).

Dosing and Administration

Inside - 20 mg once a day, with acute attacks of arthritis - 40 mg once a day for 2 days, then - 20 mg daily for the next 5 days.
