Characteristics of the substance Sulodexide

Extract from the mucosa of the small intestine of pigs. Contains 80% of heparinoid (fast-moving fraction) and 20% of dermatan sulfate.

Pharmacology

Mode action - fibrinolytic, angioprotective, lipid-lowering, anticoagulant, antiadhesive, antithrombotic.

Suppresses the activity of factor Xa, enhances the synthesis of prostacyclin. Reduces the level of fibrinogen in the blood plasma and stimulates the fibrinolytic system: increases the level of the tissue activator of plasminogen, reduces the content of its inhibitor in the blood. Angioprotection is due to the restoration of structural integrity and function of endothelial cells, the normal density of the negative charge of the pores of the basal membrane of the endothelium. Normalizes the rheological properties of blood, reduces its viscosity, suppresses the proliferation of mesangium cells, reduces the thickness of the basal membrane.

Application of the substance Sulodexide

Angiopathy with an increased risk of thrombosis (including micro- and macroangiopathy in diabetes mellitus).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, hemorrhagic diathesis, diseases associated with an increased risk of bleeding.

Side effects of Sulodexide

Dyspeptic phenomena (including nausea, vomiting), epigastric pain, allergic reactions; At the injection site - pain, burning, bruising.

Interaction

It is not recommended simultaneous use with drugs that affect the system of hemostasis (direct and indirect anticoagulants, antiaggregants).

Overdose

Symptoms: bleeding or bleeding.

Treatment: maintenance of vital functions (against drug withdrawal).

Routes of administration

Inside (between meals), IM or IV.
