Composition
1 tablet contains 5 mg of pilocarpine hydrochloride; in box 1 or 4 blisters of 21 pieces.
pharmachologic effect
Mode of action - m-cholinomimetic.
It stimulates peripheral m-cholinergic receptors.
Pharmacodynamics
It increases the secretion of digestive, salivary, lacrimal, sweat and the bronchial glands.
Indications
Dryness of the oral mucosa (xerostomia).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, bronchial asthma, iritis, open-angle glaucoma, pregnancy, breast-feeding (should stop breastfeeding), children, adolescence and early adulthood (up to 18 years).
Side effects
Sweating, chills, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or constipation, dyspepsia, abdominal pain, headache, increased blood pressure, night blindness, watery eyes, dizziness, runny nose, frequent urination.
Dosing and Administration
Inside a glass of water, during or after the meal, 1 table. 3 times a day (do not chew the tablets or crush).
Precautionary measures
It is recommended not to engage in activities requiring rapid reaction activities, and not to drive vehicles in low light conditions at night.
