Contains not less than 8% of tannins.

Pharmacotherapy

Means of plant origin, has astringent, tanning, anti-inflammatory, hemostatic local, emetic and antiseptic action; reduces perspiration, binds divalent cations.

Indications

Stomatitis, gingivitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, bad breath; burns, frostbites, infected wounds, bedsores, corn; hyperhidrosis of the feet. Hemorrhoids.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity.

Dosing

Outer, in the form of a decoction for rinses, rinsing wounds, lotions, sedentary baths (with hemorrhoidal bleeding), foot baths.

Rectally.

Locally, rinses are performed 6-8 times a day. Before use, the broth should be shaken.

To prepare the broth 20 g (2 tablespoons) of raw materials are placed in enameled dishes, pour 200 ml (one glass) of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and heat in a boiling water bath for 30 minutes, filter without cooling through a double layer of gauze. The remaining raw material is squeezed. The volume of the resulting broth is brought to 200 ml with boiled water.

In folk medicine, it is also prescribed orally for the following indications: diarrhea, dysentery, gastritis, peptic ulcer and duodenal ulcer; bleeding from the digestive tract, hemorrhoids, polymenorrhea; poisoning with fungi, poisoning with copper salts; in the form of a decoction, 15-30 ml 3-4 times a day; with diarrhea - 100 ml 2-3 times a day.
