Description of dosage form

Dense oily liquid of black color, with a specific pungent odor.

Characteristic

A product of dry distillation of the outer part of birch bark.

pharmachologic effect

Pharmacological action - antiseptic, local irritating, anti-pediculosis.

Dosing and Administration

Outwardly. With psoriasis, eczema, neurodermatitis.

1st method of use: the liquid is applied a thin layer on the lesions of the skin 1-2 times a day under the bandage.

The second way of use: the liquid is applied to the lesions once a day, gradually increasing the application time from 10 to 30 minutes. At the end of this time, the preparation is rinsed from the skin with warm water under a shower with soap or gel. Dryness of the skin or a feeling of contraction is eliminated by the use of softening creams or ointments.

The third way of use: 100-150 ml of a mixture with alcohol (1: 1 or 1: 2) is used for tar baths.
