pharmacodynamics

Tetryzoline hydrochloride - alpha-agonists, the imidazole derivative. It has a marked vasoconstrictor effect. In place of the application reduces swelling and hyperemia of the mucous membranes.

Pharmacokinetics

Contraindications

Increased individual sensitivity to the drug;

Side effects

Local: mydriasis, increased intraocular pressure, burning, conjunctival hyperemia reactive.

Interaction

The drug should not be used at the same time and MAO inhibitors within 10 days after the termination of their admission.

Dosage and Administration

Overdose

Symptoms: cyanosis, fever, seizures, arrhythmias, heart failure, increased blood pressure, pulmonary edema, dyspnea. Excessive total absorption of imidazole derivatives may cause CNS depression accompanied by drowsiness, hypothermia, bradycardia, collapse, apnea and coma.
