Composition and form of release

Implantable subcutaneously capsules contain levonorgestrel 36 mg each; In a paper-plastic vacuum package 6 pcs., In a box 1 packing.

pharmachologic effect

The pharmacological action is contraceptive, gestagenic.

Increases the viscosity of cervical mucus that prevents the penetration of spermatozoa into the uterine cavity, blocks the release of releasing factors (luteinizing and follicle-stimulating) of the hypothalamus, inhibits pituitary secretion of gonadotropic hormones, and thus inhibits ovulation; Prevents proliferation of the endometrium, reduces the amount of menstrual bleeding, removes pre- and menstrual pain.

Indication

Prevention of unwanted pregnancy.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, pregnancy, hormone-dependent malignant tumors or suspicions on them, uterine bleeding of unclear etiology, liver tumors and thromboembolic processes (including in the anamnesis), severe disorders of fat metabolism, active hepatitis.

Side effects

In some cases, headache, dizziness, nervousness, depression, loss of appetite, nausea, weight change, dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, acne are possible.

Dosing and Administration

subcutaneously (in the inner region of the shoulder) implanted 6 caps. The duration of the effect is up to 5 years.
