Composition and form of release

1 ml of eye drops contains pilocarpine hydrochloride 20 mg, metipranolol hydrochloride 1,118 mg (corresponding to 1 mg of metipranol); In bottles-droppers for 10 ml, in the box 1 bottle.

Pharmacological action - antiglaucoma.

Blocks beta-adrenoreceptors and excites m-cholinergic structures.

Indications

Glaucoma, incl. When inadequate use of pilocarpine or beta-adrenoreceptor blockers (narrow and wide-angle glaucoma) is ineffective.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity; Diseases where the narrowing of the pupil is undesirable (eg, acute iritis), obstructive pulmonary disease, decompensated heart failure, AV blockade of II and III degree; Dystrophic processes in the cornea, pregnancy, breast-feeding (for the period of treatment stop).

Side effects

Burning eyes, headache, ciliary cramps, allergic reactions.

Dosing and Administration

Intraconjunctival, 1-2 drops 2-3 times a day.

Precautionary measures

Patients with reduced tear and bradycardia should be under medical supervision. It is recommended to regularly measure intraocular pressure and examine the cornea after 4-6 weeks.
