Pharmacology

Pharmacological action - analgesic.

Affects dopamine, noradrenaline and serotonin receptors of the brain. Suppresses the nociceptive flexor reflex; relieves pain and chills in the postoperative period; hinders the development of chills as a side effect with the / in the introduction of amphotericin In patients with systemic fungal infections against the background of cancer pathology. With IV introduction, the effect begins within the first 30 seconds and reaches a maximum after 15-20 minutes; the duration of action depends on the dose.

Application of Nefopam

Pain syndrome of different etiology and intensity, incl. after trauma and surgical intervention, for analgesia of labor, generalized muscular tremor, prevention of chills as a side effect of other drugs (amphotericin B).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, epilepsy; diseases accompanied by increased convulsive readiness, simultaneous administration of MAO inhibitors, pregnancy, lactation.

Side effects of Nefopam

From the nervous system and sensory organs: dizziness, anxiety, increased excitability, drowsiness / insomnia, asthenia, blurred vision.

On the part of the intestine: nausea, vomiting, dryness of the oral mucosa.

From the cardiovascular system and blood (hematopoiesis, hemostasis): tachycardia.

Other: sweating during parenteral administration.

Routes of administration

Inside, in / m (intramuscularly), in / in (intravenously).
