lidocaine hydrochloride 25 mg; 10 mg

Description of dosage form

Transparent, colorless gel, completely soluble in water, does not contain fat, does not react with rubber, plastic and glass.

Pharmachologic effect

Mode of action - local anesthetic, lubricating.


Has a local anesthetic and lubricating effect. Local anesthetic effect is caused by reversible suppression of sensitive nerve endings on the surface of the skin and mucous membranes.

Indication of the drug Luan

Gel 2.5%

Diagnostic and therapeutic endourethral procedures (cystoscopy, bladder catheterization, urethral enlargement).

Gel 1%

Conducting endoscopic procedures (pharyngoscopy, laryngoscopy, tracheobronchoscopy, esophagogastroduodenoscopy, rectoscopy, etc.).


Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Application in pregnancy and lactation

Although the teratogenic or embryotoxic properties of the drug have not been experimentally detected, however, its use in pregnancy, especially in the initial period, must be carefully justified.

Dosing and Administration

For the gel, 2.5%

Into the urethra. The gel is squeezed out of the tube directly into the urethra by squeezing the tube and simultaneously massaging the posterior wall of the urethra. On the urethra, a clamp is applied for 10 minutes, after which it becomes possible to perform endourethral interventions.

In order to simplify the administration of the drug and exclude the pain that may occur when the metal tip of the tube touches the pain zones, a polyethylene extension is added to the tube with 2.5% gel, which is screwed onto the tube immediately before the administration of the drug. The contents of one tube are enough to fill the entire urethra.

For the gel 1%

Special instructions

When using Luan, as with any other local anesthetic, the minimum effective dose should be used.
