Characteristics of substance Leucogen

Stimulator of leukopoiesis. White or white with a slightly yellowish tint fine crystalline powder with a slight odor. Poorly soluble in alcohol, soluble in alkaline solutions. Virtually nerastvorim in water, the aqueous solution is unstable, quickly hydrolyzed with the formation of L-cysteine and formylphenylacetic ether.

Pharmacology

Mode action - Leukopoietic.

Stimulates leukopoiesis in leukopenia. Effective in diseases accompanied by leukopenia.

Leukopenia, incl. With X-ray, radio, and chemotherapy of malignant neoplasms, agranulocyte angina, alimentary-toxic aleukia.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, lymphogranulomatosis, malignant diseases of the hematopoiesis.
