Composition and release form
1 tablet contains levodopa 0.25 g and carbidopa 0.025 g.
Pharmachologic effect
Mode of action - antiparkinsonian, dopaminomimetic.
Pharmacodynamics
The antiparkinsonian effect is due to the conversion of levodopa to the central nervous system under the influence of dopa-decarboxylase in dopamine. To reduce the side effects caused by the formation of excess dopamine in the peripheral tissues, the drug includes carbidopa, an inhibitor of peripheral dopa-decarboxylase.
Indications of the drug Isicom
Parkinson's disease, Parkinsonism (except for caused by neuroleptics).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, expressed violations of the liver, kidneys, cardiovascular and endocrine systems, psychoses, zakratougolnaya glaucoma, melanoma, pregnancy, lactation, children's age.
Side effects
Anorexia, nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain, ulcerogenic effect, orthostatic hypotension, arrhythmias, spontaneous movements, sleep disturbance, agitation, dizziness, depression (rarely), leukopenia, thrombocytopenia.
Dosing and Administration
Inside. Doses are selected strictly individually, the initial dose is 0.15-0.25 g of levodopa and 0.015-0.025 g of carbidopa (1 / 2-1 table). The maximum daily dose for levodopa is 1-4 g.
