Characteristics of the substance Interferon alfa-2b + Taurine + Benzocaine
Combined drug.
Pharmacology
Mode action - immunomodulating, locally anesthetic, regenerating, antimicrobial.
Interferon alfa-2 has antiviral, antimicrobial and immunomodulatory effects; Increases the activity of natural killers, T-helpers, phagocytes, as well as the intensity of differentiation of B-lymphocytes. Activation of leukocytes contained in the mucosa ensures their active participation in the elimination of primary pathological foci and provides recovery of secretory IgA production. Interferon alfa-2 also directly inhibits the replication and transcription of viruses and chlamydia.
Taurine has regenerative, reparative, membrane and hepatoprotective, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.
Benzocaine is a local anesthetic; Reduces the permeability of the cell membrane for Na +. Prevents the appearance of painful impulses in the endings of the sensory nerves and their conduction along nerve fibers.
When intravaginal and rectal use, interferon alpha-2 is absorbed through the mucosa and enters the surrounding tissues, lymphatic system, providing systemic action. Due to the partial fixation on the cells of the mucous membrane has a local effect. Reduction of serum concentration of interferon alfa-2 is observed 12 hours after administration.
Application of the substance Interferon alfa-2b + Taurine + Benzocaine
Infectious and inflammatory diseases of the urogenital tract (as part of complex therapy): genital herpes, chlamydia, ureaplasmosis, mycoplasmosis, recurrent vaginal candidiasis, gardnerellez, trichomoniasis, papillomavirus infections, bacterial vaginosis, cervical erosion, cervicitis, vulvovaginitis, bartholinitis, adnexitis, prostatitis, Urethritis, balanitis, balanoposthitis.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, pregnancy (I-II trimester).
Restrictions
Aggravation of allergic and autoimmune diseases, pregnancy (III trimester), lactation.
Side effects of the substance Interferon alfa-2b + Taurine + Benzocaine
Allergic reactions (skin rash, itching), chills, hyperthermia, fatigue, loss of appetite, myalgia, arthralgia, headache, sweating; Leukopenia and thrombocytopenia - more often when applied at a dose exceeding 10 million units / day.
Interaction
Pharmacodynamically compatible with other drugs for the treatment of urogenital diseases (including antibiotics and other antimicrobial drugs). Vitamin E and ascorbic acid increase the effect of interferon. Non-narcotic analgesics strengthen the action of benzocaine. Benzocaine reduces the antibacterial activity of sulfonamides.
Routes of administration
Intravaginal, rectal.
