Composition and release form
1 tablet contains haloperidol 0.5; 1.5; 5 and 10 mg; in a blister 10 pcs., in a cardboard pack of 3 or 5 blisters.
Pharmachologic effect
Pharmacological action - antipsychotic, neuroleptic, antiemetic.
Indication of the drug Haloper
Schizophrenia, manic psychosis, hallucinations, delirium; tics, Gilles de la Tourette's syndrome, behavioral disorders, stammering and other speech defects in children; indomitable vomiting.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, depression, coma, parkinsonism (and other extrapyramidal disorders), CNS depression.
Application in pregnancy and lactation
Contraindicated.
Side effects
Extrapyramidal disorders, euphoria, insomnia or drowsiness, lethargy, depression, headache, dizziness, confusion, large epileptic seizures, exacerbation of psychotic symptoms.
Interaction
Incompatible with tricyclic antidepressants, indirect anticoagulants, holinoblokatorami, hypotensive drugs; enhances the effects of drugs that depress the central nervous system.
Dosing and Administration
Inside. Adults with mild symptoms - 0,5-2 mg 2-3 times a day, with severe symptoms - 3-5 mg 2-3 times a day; upon reaching a satisfactory therapeutic effect, the dose is gradually reduced.
Children with behavioral disorders - 0.05 mg / kg per day, with Gilles de la Tourette syndrome - up to 10 mg per day.
