Composition and release form

Mode of action - bronchodilator.

Indications of Euphylong

Obstructive diseases of the respiratory tract (bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema), disturbances from the respiratory center, deficiency of the right heart (due to chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases), cardiac and renal edema.

Contraindications

Acute period of myocardial infarction, hypersensitivity, arterial hypertension, hyperthyroidism, epilepsy, impaired liver function, pregnancy, age (up to 6 years), tachyarrhythmia, hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, stomach and duodenal ulcer.

Side effects

Anxiety, agitation, tremor, sleep disorder, headache, palpitations, arrhythmias, gastrointestinal disturbances.

Interaction

Strengthens (mutually) the effects of diuretics, beta2-adrenomimetics, other methylxanthines, ephedrine, reduces - lithium salts and beta-adrenoblockers. Clearance (theophylline) increases nicotine (smokers), phenobarbital, rifampicin, phenytoin, diuretics, reduce antibiotics from the macrolide group, beta adrenoblockers, cimetidine, oral contraceptives.

Dosage and Administration

Inside, adults with a body weight of 60-70 kg and normal metabolism of theophylline - 12 mg / kg (720-840 mg), with increased (for example, smokers) - 18 mg / kg (1080-1260 mg); Children with a body weight of 40-60 - 18 mg / kg (720-1080 mg).
