The pharmacological action is estrogenic.

Indications

Diseases caused by insufficient estrogen content in the body: involution (atrophy) of the vagina and vulva, accompanied by itching, burning and dryness of the vagina, pain during intercourse (dyspareunia), colpitis, vulvitis, cervicitis, leucorrhoea, vaginal narrowing, sores in the vagina and on the cervix Uterus resulting from pressure or stretching, concomitant therapy with vaginal infections and involuntary urination (urinary incontinence), lower urinary tract atrophy (urethrocystitis), pre- and postoperative treatment with vagina nyh operations, diagnostics in unclear results of vaginal smear, if there is change in the cellular composition of the picture on the background of signs of involution.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, bleeding of unclear etiology in the genital area, malignant tumors of the uterus or mammary glands, caused by estrogen deficiency.

Use with caution when the first signs of migraine appear, frequent unusually strong attacks of headache, the appearance of the first signs of phlebitis or phenomena of a thromboembolic character, the appearance of cholestatic jaundice, a sharp increase in blood pressure, acute visual impairment.

pregnancy and lactation

Not recommended for pregnancy.

During breastfeeding - with caution, in significantly reduced doses, because Estriol partially penetrates into breast milk.

Side effects

Irritation of the vagina, accompanied by itching, burning and redness.

At the beginning of treatment - smearing spotting from the vagina, tenderness and tension of the mammary glands, hypersecretion of cervical mucus, leucorrhoea, fluid retention and associated temporary weight gain, nausea and other mild gastrointestinal disorders, rarely migraine headache, very rarely - a feeling of heaviness in the legs, cramps of the calf muscles.

Interaction

The simultaneous use of barbiturates, anticonvulsant drugs (eg hydantoins), certain antibiotics (eg cephalosporins, neomycin) may decrease effectiveness.

Dosing and Administration

Intravaginal, if not prescribed otherwise, 1 supp. / Day.

Precautionary measures

Treatment with the drug should be carried out only under constant medical supervision with gynecological examinations (especially with prolonged and repeated bleeding from the vagina).

When detecting a vaginal infection, it is necessary to simultaneously treat it.
