Mode of action - antispasmodic, myotropic.
pharmacodynamics
It relaxes the detrusor (muscle that reduces the bladder). It provides direct antispasmodic myotropic and m-anticholinergic action. Increases the capacity of the bladder, reduces the incidence of detrusor contractions, holding back the urge to urinate.
Pharmacokinetics
Cmax after oral administration is achieved after 45 minutes. The concentration is proportional to the applied dose. T1 / 2 is less than 2 hours (increases in elderly patients).
Indications
urinary incontinence associated with bladder instability function, impaired either by nature neurogenic disorders (detrusor hyperreflexia), such as disseminated sclerosis or spina bifida, or in idiopathic detrusor function disorders (incontinence engine);
nocturnal enuresis in children older than 5 years.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug;
angle-closure glaucoma;

Pregnancy and breast-feeding

Side effects
Nausea, constipation, diarrhea, discomfort in the abdomen, urinary retention, drowsiness or insomnia, weakness, headache, dizziness, arrhythmia, impaired vision (mydriasis, paralysis of accommodation), increased intraocular pressure, decreased sweating, dry mouth, impotence, allergic reactions.
Dosing and Administration
Inside. Adults - 5 mg 2-3 times per day, children and elderly patients - 5 mg 2 times a day.
Overdose
Symptoms: CNS arousal (anxiety, tremors, increased nervous irritability, convulsions, delirium, hallucinations), fever, nausea, vomiting, tachycardia, decreased blood pressure, respiratory failure, paralysis, coma.
Treatment: should maintain breathing, vomit or to gastric lavage, activated charcoal, and assign a saline laxative. For regression anticholinergic symptoms of intoxication using cholinesterase blockers (physostigmine). In marked anxiety or excitation - in / in a 10 mg diazepam. When tachycardia - propranolol (w / w).
