Composition and form of release

The pharmacological action is estrogenic.

It binds to estrogen receptors in target cells and replenishes the lack of estradiol in the body, prevents the development of osteoporosis, normalizes lipid metabolism.

Indications of Dermestril

Physiological or postoperative menopause (hot flashes, sleep disorders, urogenital atrophy, mental instability, mood disorders); postmenopausal osteoporosis (prophylaxis).

Contraindications

Breast cancer, etc. estrogen-dependent tumors (diagnosed or suspected), endometriosis, vaginal bleeding of unknown etiology; severe diseases of the kidneys, liver, cardiovascular system; thromboembolism and thrombophlebitis (including (including) in the anamnesis), pregnancy, children's age.

Side effects

Headache, breast tenderness, vaginal bleeding, sodium and water retention, swelling, vomiting, flatulence, intestinal spasm, erythema and itching at the site of application.

Dosing and Administration

On skin, impose on a clean, dry and fat-free area of intact skin on the thigh, waist or abdomen (places of applications alternate). Treatment begins with the imposition of one patch of Dermestril 50. The patch is changed 2 times a week (if possible with observance of permanent days of the week: for example, Monday and Thursday); when the patch is unfastened, it is necessary to replace it with a new one. The maximum daily dose is 100 mcg. The drug is used cyclically, for 3 weeks (week) (6 applications) followed by a weekly break. In the case of hysterectomy appoint continuously.

Precautionary measures

Caution is prescribed for heart failure, renal and hepatic dysfunction, severe hypertension, epilepsy, bronchial asthma, diabetes, edema, the elderly and hypogonadism. Regular monitoring of endocrine system parameters and gynecological examinations is recommended. Therapy should be immediately stopped when migraines appear, frequent headaches and any type of vision disorder.
