Composition and release form

1 capsule contains fluoxetine hydrochloride 20 mg; in the blister 10 pcs., in the box 1, 2 or 3 blisters.

Pharmachologic effect

Pharmacological action - antidepressant.

Inhibits the reverse capture of serotonin in the synapses of the central nervous system, blocks m-cholino and adrenoreceptors, and has antihistaminic activity.

Indication of the drug Deprex

Depression, bulimia (of nervous origin); obsessive-compulsive syndrome (obsessive thoughts and actions).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, epilepsy, convulsive syndrome of various genesis, marked violations of liver and kidney function, simultaneous administration of MAO inhibitors, pregnancy, lactation (should stop breastfeeding), children's age.

Side effects

Dyspeptic disorders (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea); headache, dizziness, sleep disturbance, fatigue, tremor, allergic reactions (skin rashes, hives, itching).

Dosing and Administration

Inside, before or after eating, without chewing, squeezed a small amount of liquid. The dose is set individually. With depression - 1 caps. 1 time per day in the morning; with bulimia, obsessive disorders - 1-3 caps. per day. The maximum daily dose is 80 mg.

Precautionary measures

With caution appoint for cardiovascular diseases, diabetes. MAO inhibitors can be taken no earlier than 5-6 weeks after the abolition of Deprex (Deprex - 2-3 weeks after MAO inhibitors). During treatment is not recommended the use of alcoholic beverages, the performance of work that requires a high rate of mental and physical reactions (including the management of vehicles).
