Composition and form of release

1 tablet contains dexamethasone 0.5 mg, in a pack of 100 pcs.

1 ml of solution for injection - dexamethasone phosphate 4 mg, in ampoules of 1 and 2 ml, in a package of 10 and 1 pc.

Pharmacological action - anti-inflammatory, immunosuppressive.

Indications

Inflammatory and allergic diseases, nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapeutic agents, shock and cerebral edema (injections).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, mycosis, vaccination with live viral vaccine.

Side effects

Violations of water-electrolyte balance, musculoskeletal system, gastrointestinal tract, endocrine and cardiovascular system; Dermatological, neurological, ophthalmic, metabolic and other disorders.

Interaction

It is possible to change the effects with simultaneous use with acetylsalicylic acid, phenytoin, phenobarbital, ephedrine, rifampin, indometacin, coumarin anticoagulants, diuretics.

Dosing and Administration

Inside, intravenously (intravenously), intramuscularly (intramuscularly), intraarticularly or intrabusally. Dosage and treatment are set individually according to the severity of the disease and the patient's reaction. In acute conditions and in urgent cases, the use of large doses (up to 20 mg) is permissible. In the future, dosage should be maintained at a minimum therapeutic level.
