Pharmacology
Pharmacological action - anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, analgesic.
Inhibits cyclooxygenase, reduces the synthesis of PG (prostaglandins). After oral administration, Cmax in plasma is determined after 30 minutes. When applied to mucous membranes, it is well absorbed.
Application of Choline salicylate
Ear drops: otitis externa, otitis media; to dissolve earwax.
Gel dental: infectious-inflammatory, ulcerative-necrotic, trophic lesions of the mucous membrane of the mouth, nose and pharynx, aphthous stomatitis, pain with teething in children, damage to the oral mucosa while wearing dentures.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, perforation of the tympanic membrane (for ear drops).
Restrictions for use
Pregnancy, breast-feeding, children under 1 year.
Side effects
Allergic reactions, burning in the field of application.
