Composition and form of release

10 g of solution for instillation into the external auditory meatus contain choline salicylate 2 g, as well as glycerin 86%, chlorobutanol hydrate, ethyl alcohol 95% and water; in polyethylene bottles-droppers or in glass bottles of 10 grams, in a carton 1 bottle-dropper or 1 bottle; or in a planar cell pack, 5 bottles, in a carton pack of 1 or 2 packs.

Characteristic

Transparent liquid yellowish color, with a characteristic odor.

pharmachologic effect

Pharmacological action - anti-inflammatory.

Inhibits cyclooxygenase, inhibits the synthesis of PG (prostaglandins).

Indications

Acute catarrhal inflammation of the external auditory canal, tympanic membrane, middle ear; dissolution of sulfur plug before washing the ear canal.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to salicylates or other NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) (including aspirin asthma), perforation of the tympanic membrane.

pregnancy and lactation

Not recommended.

Side effects

Allergic reactions; with prolonged use and in patients with a perforation of the tympanic membrane, hearing impairment may occur.

Dosing and Administration

Locally, 3-4 drops in the external ear canal 3-4 times a day.

It is recommended to bury the patient lying with his ear turned upwards; After the procedure the patient should remain in this position for several minutes.

Storage conditions

At a temperature of 15-25 ° C. Do not freeze.
