Pharmacological action - hypoglycemic.
It interacts with a specific receptor of the plasma membrane and penetrates into the cell, where it activates protein phosphorylation, stimulates glycogen synthase, pyruvate dehydrogenase, hexokinase, inhibits fat lipase and lipoprotein lipase. In combination with a specific receptor facilitates the penetration of glucose into cells, enhances digestion and promotes its conversion into glycogen. Increases the glycogen reserve in muscles, stimulates the synthesis of peptides.
ClinicalPharmacology
It is a preparation of quick and short action. The maximum effect develops in 1-3 hours and lasts 6-8 hours.
Indications
Diabetes mellitus type I and II (all forms), diabetic coma.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity (relative contraindication), hypoglycemia.
Sideeffects

Dosing and Administration
The dosage is set individually. Usually, they are administered SC (in special cases - IM) for 10-15 minutes before meals 3-4 times a day. Single dose is 6-20 units. In patients with diabetes mellitus with increased sensitivity to insulin and in children, this dose is reduced, in patients with insensitivity to insulin - increase. With a diabetic coma, first Bersulinulin H Normal U-40 is administered iv in the dose at the rate of 0.1-0.3 U / kg, then a prolonged IV infusion at a rate of 0.1-0.2 U / kg per hour.
