Pharmacotherapy. An antiviral agent, an interferon inducer, has a local anesthetic, antioxidant effect; Helps accelerate the regeneration of the cornea. Does not have a teratogenic, mutagenic and embryotoxic effect.
Indication. Herpes eye; Adenoviral diseases of the eyes (conjunctivitis, keratitis, keratouveitis).
Contraindications. Hypersensitivity.
Carefully. Pregnancy, lactation, children's age.
Dosing. Locally, in the form of instillations in the conjunctival sac 1-2 drops 3-8 times a day; In the form of subconjunctival and parabulbar injections of 0.3-0.5 ml, the course of treatment - 3-15 injections. With superficial forms of herpetic keratitis apply as injections once every 2-3 days in combination with instillations 4-8 times a day. With deep forms of herpetic keratitis, injections are performed against the background of instillation use daily, then once every 2-3 days. After recovery, instillation is continued 3 times a day for 7-10 days.
Side effect. Hyperemia of the conjunctiva, allergic reactions.
Interaction. Acyclovir, ganciclovir, antibacterial drugs enhance the effect. Do not use simultaneously with sulfanilamide drugs (sulfacetamine) for topical application.
Special instructions. In pregnancy and during lactation, apply only if the intended benefit to the mother exceeds the risk to the fetus and the baby.
